Inspired by a burning piece of wood I salvaged from my firepit. The center vulture was the first image to capture my imagination with bird imagery throughout the piece.
In ancient Egypt, the vulture symbolized divine protection and royal authority.
The goddess Nekhbet, the patroness of Upper Egypt, was associated with the vulture, the sky, purification, and the hieroglyph for "mother".
